POWER PROJECT

POWER PROJECT:- In order to bridge the gap between demand and supply of electric power in Myanmar and also to meet shortage of power in the country  MCM Group is setting up power plants. MCM Group commissioned 2 power plant and the details are as follows:-

  • 145 MW Gas Based IPP project in Joint Venture at Kyaukse (Near Mandalay). This is Gas based power plant and supplies the power to The Government of Myanmar. Gas is supplied by The Government of Myanmar. This plant was commissioned on April 2019.
  • 70/80 MW Gas Based IPP project at Shwe Taung (Near Pyay). This is Gas based power plant and supplies the power to The Government of Myanmar. Gas is supplied by The Government of Myanmar. Phase -1 of this project is 40 MW and was commissioned in August 2020.
  • MCM Group is in the process of setting up 40 MW which is Phase – 2 of Shwe Taung Power Plant.
  • At present MCM Group is in the process of setting up 300 MW LNG based power plant with LNG receiving terminal.

RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS:-MCM has made a strategic diversification by making a modest entry into a “GREEN ENERGY BUSINESS”. We are planning to set up about 70 MW Capacity Renewable Energy based power plants (PV Solar +Biomass +Wind) and will be taking part in the clean energy sector.
